Description
Installing a dust cover onto your AR’s upper receiver can be a pain. If you’re starting with just parts, you need to install the C-clamp onto the rod without launching it across the room and never seeing it again. Then you thread the rod through the first side of the cover, then the spring, then the other side of the cover, making sure you’ve aligned the ends of the spring in the right places. But it gets worse. You then have to twist one end of the spring around with some needle-nosed pliers and hold it in place while you negotiate getting the other end of the rod into the other lug, all without letting go of the end of the spring with your pliers until you’re done and everything’s in place. Whew!
