A gun shop for both peninsulas
Michigan is two states when it comes to guns. Below the bridge it is suburbs and farm country: carry pistols in Oakland and Macomb counties, deer rifles in the woodlots of Kent and Jackson, and duck guns on Saginaw Bay and Lake St. Clair. Above it, the Upper Peninsula is big woods, snow by November and black bear in the fall. We stock for both.
2026 is a big year for Michigan deer hunters. The Natural Resources Commission eliminated the Lower Peninsula's limited firearms zone, the old "shotgun zone" that dated to 1953, so from September 12, 2026 any legal firearm, including bottleneck rifles like the .308, .270 and 6.5 Creedmoor, can be used across the whole state. Straight-wall rifles like the .350 Legend are still great brush guns; they are just no longer the only choice south of the line.
Buying works the same everywhere in Michigan. You order here and name the FFL dealer where you want to pick up. The dealer runs the federal background check and, for a pistol, fills out the state Pistol Sales Record. You do not need a separate License to Purchase when you buy from a licensed dealer. Ammunition, optics and parts ship straight to your door.
