Regular firearm season is November 15–30, with a December firearm season Dec. 4–6, 2026. Semi-automatics used for deer may hold no more than six rounds combined.

Michigan lists pistol-free zones even for CPL holders, including schools, day care centers, sports arenas and stadiums, bars whose main income is alcohol, churches unless the church allows it, large entertainment venues, hospitals, and college dorms and classrooms. Private businesses can also ban guns on their property.
