Shipping Policy

Michigan Gun Shop ships firearms, ammunition, and accessories to all 50 U.S. states and territories where local law allows. We do not ship internationally.

Where We Ship

Firearms are shipped only to federally licensed dealers (FFLs), never to a residence. Non-firearm products (parts, optics, magazines that are state-legal at your destination, accessories) ship directly to your address.

Carriers

UPS Ground — default for handguns and most accessories
FedEx Ground — long guns and bulkier items
USPS Priority — small accessories and parts only (USPS will not handle complete firearms)

All firearm shipments require adult signature on delivery and are insured for the full purchase price.

Processing Time

In-stock firearms ship within 2 business days of order confirmation and FFL verification. NFA items ship after Form 4 approval (currently 30–90 days for eFile suppressors). Out-of-stock listings are flagged before checkout — if you order one anyway, we’ll email you with the realistic ETA.

Shipping Fees

Calculated at checkout based on weight, destination, and carrier. Free ground shipping on orders over $499 to the lower 48 (excludes ammunition and oversized packages).

State-Specific Restrictions

We comply with all federal, state, and local firearms laws. The following destinations have additional restrictions:

California: Roster-compliant handguns only; no standard-capacity magazines >10rd; no “assault weapon” configurations as defined by CA Penal Code § 30515.
New York: SAFE Act compliant only. No magazines >10rd. AR/AK platforms must meet featureless requirements.
New Jersey: Magazines >10rd prohibited. Suppressors prohibited.
Massachusetts: AG-roster compliant handguns only. No post-1994 AWB-defined firearms.
Hawaii, Connecticut, Maryland, Illinois (incl. Cook County), Washington D.C.: Various restrictions apply — we’ll flag at checkout.

If you place an order that violates your state’s law, we’ll cancel and fully refund.

Receiving FFL Information

Don’t have a receiving FFL? You’ll need one. The ATF maintains a public list at fflezcheck.atf.gov, and most local gun shops will receive transfers for $25–$50. Once you’ve picked one, send us their license number and contact info at [email protected] — we’ll verify them on file with ATF and send the firearm.
